"David Karly was a young man befriended by Merrill A.
Knight who had hoped to reform him by having David live in
his home, 6201 5, Franklin St., according to trial testi-
mony on the evening of April 25, 1958, Karly, then 28,
killed Mr, and Mrs, Knight and their daughter, Karen, 15.
Kenny Knight, recent high school graduate, fled the house
and secured the aid of Glenn Wilson, Varian Ashbaugh, and
Bill Pumpelly in capturing Harly. After 3 years and 3
months of legal tusshe, Harly was executed. Cost to the
taxpayers in the long drawn out procedure owas over
