Hanged, Richmond County, NY (Probably Staten Island) on
August 3, 1789. Information provided in telephone conver-
sation with John Hayes, 285 St. Marks, Apt. 2B, Staten
Island, NY 10301 on Dec. 15, 1982, He took this from a
retrespective account of execution of Edward Reihhardt in
New York Times on 1-1-1881, stating that Cornish was first
in county and Reinhardt second,

L. BE. Preston & Co., NYC 1887, p252, he was black who
murdered another man aboard atboat in Staten Island Sound.
Had escaped but was recaptured. Expenses paid off by
