"Atlanta, 1-25-1689 - Ed Fry, alias Williams, the colored
wife murderer was hanged at Marietta at noon today, He
greatly dreaded his fate and was considerable excided
during the morning. Last night his fellow prisoners
mocked and guyed with him mits while he groaned and
prayed. An immense crowd witnessed the execution which

occurred a mile from Marietta at the foot of a hillside
dotted over with scrubby pines,"

wife murderer was hanged at Fartatte: at noon today. He
greatly dreaded his fate and was considerable excided
during the morning. Last night his fellow prasoners
