henry Holden, blacks, were hung here today. They died
game, protesting their innocence to the last. Tom Miles!

"Linden, Cass Co., Tex., Sept. 16, 1890-Phe famous case of
the State vs. Sam Jackson has been disposed of, Sam is
the last of four defendants charged with the murder of a
white man in Atlanta, Tex., for which Tom Miles, Fletcher
Holden.and Henry Holden paid the praalty on the gallows on
the 6th of last June. There were two counts in the bill
of indictments one charging him as an aceesoory, the other
as a principal, The state's attorney elected the latter,
and he was prosecuted on sunch, ‘The jury was out about
one hour and returned a verdict of guilty of murder, and
assessed his punishment in the state prison for life, No
appeal is taken, defendant being perfectly satisfied with
the verdict. He says that he, togkhther with Tom Miles,
