Goldston, a 36-year-old bladk Chatham So., Ne ©., farmer with no
prior criminal record was convicted of having killed his neighbor,
another black man named John Headen. Goldston admitted that he
had killed Headen following a quarrel and he was electrocuted on

Aug. 21, 1931.
