Harvey, 21, and Pope, 5, both white, electrocuted Oklahoma
State Prison (McCurtain County) on Jan. 23, 192).
"7=10-1923=Carrying out announced police of no Capital pun-
ishment, Gov. J. (©, Walton today ordered stay of execution
for John Pope and Aaron Harvey, convicted in district court
at Idabel of mrder of 5 persons last April 4. Were to have
been executed July 13 and Governor reprieved to Oct, L3e
Were convicted of having killed Pope's wife, Mrs. Lydia Pop
Mr, and Mrs, T, H, Hansell, hergparents, and 2 children,
all shot to death as they slept at small Hansell farm near
Haworth, Okla,"
