Roche had been in trouble since he was foe ad

stabhed to death 85-year-old widow Mrs. Rose Chronik -
the motive, robbery; on April 8, 195, he stabbed to
death 17-year-old Marion Brown = the motive robbery and
rape, though he did not complete his assault; on April
16, 1954, he stabbed to death taxi driver Alexander
Jablonki - the mative robbery; and, on June 2, 195h, he
bludgeoned and BESEH stabbed l-year-old Dorothy West-
water in the foyer of her apartment in Yorkville, N. Y.,
raping the mobtally wounded girl. He was electrocuted
in Sing Sing's electric chair on Jan. 27, 1956.
