Barkley (3h) and Fields (2), both black, electrocuted at
Georgia State Prison (Fulton County) on Wé-16, 190,
"The Governor declined to intervene in the’sckheduled exe-
cutions of Oscar Fields and Curtis Barkley, convicted on
charges of waylaying and attacking an Atlanta eouple in
a parked car on the south side of the city, Both negroes
were convicted on criminal attack charges. The state
alleged that the two negroes had perpetrated several

simizar crimes before they were ambushed and caught by
