lum pronounced him sane, and a jury, called for the purpose
agreed as to his sanity. In a letter to his mother, writ-
ten last night, he acknowledged his crime, but denied that
the Pinkstons and himself had a dispute over the settlement
of money matters and that in the fight he killed them both,
Reynolds was very cool and collected when brought to the

Reynolds showed no weakness when mounting the scaffold,
