MOORE, Tommie
Black, electrocuted Texas State Prison, June 3, 1938,
"Huntsville, June 3, 1938-Tommie Moore, negro, went si-
lently to his death in the electric chair here tarly today
for the slaying of a Thornton merchant. Moore nodded to
witnesses as he was led into the death chamber by Father
hugh Finnegan and Rev. C, E. Garrett, prison chaplains,
Asked by Warden W. W. Waid if he had anything to say, the
negro merely shook his heads He kissed the crucifix and
sat down in the chair. The first shock struck him at
12:02 AM and he was pronounced dead eight minutes later,
Moore was convicted of shooting Frank Bradfute as the mer=

chant slept at his home on May 10, 1937." STAR-TELEGRAM,
