Johnson Ward, black, convicted at fall berm, 1911, of
murder of his mother-in-law and wife one night in Aug, 19
1911, sentenced to be hanged at Nacogdoches, Tex., on
Oct. 4, 1912, His wife recovered ffom wounds, At sen-
vencing he told court that it could do as it pleased as
it had the law in its hands and he could not help himself
and said that he hoped the Judge would be at the hanging,
