Hanged, Westville, Miss., on May 31, 1901. A white man,
Execution witnessed by 5,000 persons from four counties
took place in a natural amphitheater outside of town, ~
Haverson and a 16-year-old aceamplice named Reavers, mur-
dered Frank Ammons, a prominent merchant of Braxbon about
8 months previously. Robbery was the motive. The boy
received a 7-year=prison term for his part in crime.
