Go See, a h?=year-old Chinese coolie who could neither speak nor
understand inglish, stabbed in the back and killed another Chinese,
An Lung (another account indicates the victim's name was Loo Chow)
in Porterville, Calif., on the night of May 21, 1899. After ie
the savings of his victim, Go See set fire to the house and left th
premises. A large crowd assembled and the fire was finally contained
after it had spread to two adjoining buildings. A search revealed
the body of the murdered man with his legs burned off. when the
