‘William Brown, charged with the murder of Jacob M, Nicely
was tried at a special term of the circuit court of Alle-
ghany Coe, Vaey on Jan, L7th, 1859, The jury returned a
verdict of murder in the first degree. Judge Hudson pro-
nounced the sentence of death upon the criminal, Bown is
to be hung on March 25, 1859,"
