When Jensen, a 28-year-old Tujunga, Calif., mechanic, was
only ll, he beat and stabbed to death a playmate, 13-
year-old Billy Williams. He spent 12 years in various
mental hospitals in California. After his release, he
returned to Tujunga and got a job as a mechanic. He

mond Lawson on Sept. 13, 1953. On Oct. 3, he attempted
to kill a Marine who he was giving a ride, but the Marine
did not die. He testified against Jensen who was sen-
genced to death under California's kidnap law and died
in San Quentin's gas chamber on Feb. 11, 1955.
