death on a slave, Isaac, for burglary and robbery, on

another slave for murder, and on a white man who had
committed the burglary with tsaac. As it appeared to the

racter and was a real otject of compassion,' he was reco#
mmednded to the mercy of the Governors; but as the crime
of the other slave was murder, and as the white man was

a notorious offender, the Council advised that they be
