spite for Henry Holloway, colored, who is under sentence |
to be hanged at Snow Hill, Green County, Oct. 16th. The ©
respite is to December 17th, and is to allow counsel time
to prove their contention that Mrs, Nelson was mistaken
identifying Holloway as the negro who entered her house a
night and made improper proposals to her, She identified
the negro by his voice, Judge We Se O'Be Robinson, who
came here to see the Governor, says since Holloway was
sentenced the negro man with whom he slept the night of
the burglary and insult has gone grazy» is in the insane
asylum at Goldsboro, and in his ravings crys out that
Holloway is not the man, to take him instead, The pre=
caution was taken yo get Holloway out of Green county to-=
day before the respite was made public. He is in Wayne
