Electrecuted, Texas State Prisen, on Dec. 18, 1931. Was
convictedin Kent County on a change of venue from Maskeal
County. Mad murdered an elderly couple on a farm near
Rochester, Tex., with a hame from a horse's harness while
in the process of robbing them. Trial began on 10-20-30,
The records shww that he carried his case to Criminal
Appeals in Augtin on Jan. 9, 1931, but the upheld the
verdict in a reply dated June 3, 1931. Me was then sen-
tenced by Judge Milburn 5, Long frem Abilene who had been
appointed by the State to de so because while the case was
in Criminal Appeals the district attorney, Clyde Grissom,
who had prosecuted him had become thd Distriét Judge in
Kent County.
