Teller's alias was John Scott. Both protested innocence
before sentence passede Judge stated Scott was 28-years-
old and had been in pen for 3 years on 15 year term for
burglary and counterfeiting and that Reynolds was 30-
years-old ahd 3 times sentenced for burglary, the last
for life, Had bludgeoned Hoskins to death with steel
bar on night of April 30, 1833, in escape attempt. They
Claimed others had attacked Hoskins, At this time they
whre sentenced to be hanged on last Friday in June so

they were evidently respited until execution date,
