Scott, a 36-year-old white native of Little Rock, Ark., was first
arrested for robbery in 199. From that year on, he was in and out
of prison, being arrested in Texas, Arkansas, Arizona and California,
On Nove 12, 1958, he was paroled from prison in Californaa where he
was serving a one to Lifteen year sentence for robbery. He wasted
little time in teaming up with an unemployed tool and die maker and

in the abdomen and ran to the car without bothering to take the
fatally wounded man's robbery. He was finally identified by the

officer revealed the name of his partner who had been his closest
associate and when he was taken into custody, he admitted his part
in the robberies, but stated that he had no part in the killing and
