KOBLE, Joseph H, and MARSH, Orlando H,

Hanged, Fort Benton, Montana, October 6, 1879

"Koble, Marsh, Fernsler and Campbell, the murderers of
soldier Patrick Farrell at Fort Benton, Montana Territory
have been sentenced as follows: Koble and Marsh to be
hanged on Sept, 1) next; Fernsler and Campbell to life

in prison and will be confined in Deer Lodge Penitentiary,
the terr#torial prison of Montana, The sentences are
approved by all law abiding citizens of the country,
