It is highly probable that this man was not executed.
Recording to, tue OLiviolual TecoLds Ob ele oUSSex UO.
Court of Oyer & Terminer at the Delaware State Arch-
ives, he was initially sentenced to hang on June 25th
1858 but was granted a respite for 17 years (!) until
the year 1875. It would seem that the Governor of
Delware had no commutation power but did the next
best thing.
