Details: On Monday evening last was executed pursuant

to hts sentence on the Commons of this town

a free mulatto fellow named BIRD for horse
stealing; a practice he had followed for a long time. He
confessed that ten whtte men were concerned with him, two
of whom, (Pully & Beavers), the Lynch Soctety, after a
decent flagellation, carted through the streets and then
conducted safely over the bridge.
