Joaquin Florenzo, 35<year-eld Filippino, murdered his
mistress, Marie Louise, black, Hanged at New Orleans, La,
on 6-16-1877, Had stabbed her to death with a shoemaker's
knife on 1-16-1876 in their room at the Bourbon house,
Metive was jealousy. After killing her scattered several
hundred dollars around the corpse and waited until morning
when he went in search of her paramour who he found, shot
at and was arrested. Told police of murder after arrest.
