Ethan Bradley*, a young man from Salmon Falls, drove a load of wood
to the cantonment and as he was returning home, he was murdered,

Chancellor of New York State. On August 6, 1813, he was hanged from
a gallows constructed on the Boynton Road near the lake shore at the
