Terrible Homicide Near Fair Play - We learn
that Turner Osborne, Jr., and “avid Bradberry,
in passing the residence of Richard Compton on
Friday, evening last, near Fair Play, in this
county, had a difficulty with Compton in fefer-
ence to his dog. Compton and his wife were in
their home when one of these persons fired a
pis tol at them. The ball struck Mrs. Compton
in the sabdomen, producing death the next day.
Osborne was arrested and made his escape on
Saturday morning. Bradberry has been arrested
and is now in jail. We learn that Osborne fir-
ed the fatal shot. fforts are being made, we
learn, to re-arrest Osborne, Trial Justice Sea-
