"Tssue of Sat., Jane 8, 1861:Fatal shooting-
in a dittiicuity at the Depot at Columbia,
Tenn., a few days ago, W, ©, Reynolds shot and
killed his brother-in-law, Wm. Porter, and also
killed, by accidental shot, Mr. Burgess, a
volunteer from Giles County. In the course of
the unfortunate cecontre Mr, Reynolds was
wounded by a pistol shot in the shoulder, and
severely beaten on the head with a stick, Rey-
nolds has been arrested and will be brought to
