"Kansas City, Mow, April 17, 1903-John "Bud Taylor, 20,
was hanged in the county jail this mrning fob the murder
of his former sweetheart, Ruth Nollard, on March 2, 1901,
Taylor was baptized into theCatholic @hurch last night,

He talked calmly of his approaching execution, slept well
and walked to the gallows bravely. Taylor expressed
sorrow for the crime, but addeds 'I loved her and I was
not willing to live without her.! Taylor's crime was prom
ted by jealousy because Miss Nollard, a wirking girl, jil-
ted him, He planned the mrder most deliberathy, He lay
in wait for his victim several days and fired the fatal
shot with a rifle from the second story window of West
Ninth St,, as she passed by on the opposite side with her
