NIXON, Michael 5-16-1873

"Michael Nixon shot and killed Charles H, Phifer on the
night of Jan. 25, 1873, on the corner of Catherine St.xan
and Bowery, New York City. Nixon was convicted, in the
Court of Oyer and Terminer, of murder in the first degree
April 2, 1873, before Judge John R, Brady. He was execu-
ted at Tombs Prison on May 16, 1873."
