Hanged at Wilmington, New Hanover County, N. Ce, on Feb.
28, 1868, for the murder of Wm. Childress which the

appeal (61 NC 173) states occurredon night of 3-29-1863 an
triel in June, 1867). I think year of crime is mistake
and was probably also 1867 because Parker captured right
efter crime, according to appeal. See account from TIMES,
