| THORRID MURDER. - We learn that the house of Mr,
Wm. White, at the..place known as the Old Tavern,
in the County of Henrico, some 6 miles from this
-eity, was entered on Saturday night, and he him-
self murdered with an axe, and Mrs. White left in
sensible on the floor. [It is doubtful whether sh
will ever recover, The murderer then proceeded
to rob the house, taking a large amount of money,
and other things from it. He has not been appre-
hedaded as yet, though so horrible a crime cannot
long be concealed. The jury of inquest reported

a verdict in substance of wilful murder agsinst
some person, to them unknown, believed to be a
