MINNEY, Wilbur

Executed July 25, 1907, Fayette Co., Paes; for the murder
of his common-law wife and mistress, Anna Derry, on Oct,
11, 1905; both negroes, he 2); and she, 28, with several
children by another man; she was jealous of him and feared
he would leave here they quarreled frequently; on last oc-
casion he went down town to find a gun as she had asked him
to shoot a dogs; he returned, quarreled with her and then
shot her; tried suicide but failed; crime occurre
