"On Saturday last (11-20-1736), the Negro Fellow that had
robbed Mr, Streater on the Road, as mentioned, was execu-
ted," SOUTH CAROLINA GAZETTE, Charleston, SC, Nov. 27,

"On Thursday last week (10-7+1736), a Negro belonging to
Mr, Thos, Buttler, named Abram, received sentence to be

hanged for feloniously assaulting and robbing Mr, Streater
on the High Road, There was another Negro with him in

this AXKAXK assault and robbery, who is not yet taken,
which has occasioned the execution KX to be deferred
for some time longer, and it is hoped that an example of

justice in this case will deter other negroes from commit=-
