of William Haggerty on Sept, 21, 1878, Davidson consider
a ,uarrelsome man while Haggerty, married for only a few
months, considered quitt and peaceable, They attended a
picnic held in a grove about 6 miles Northeast of Warrens
burge Davidson became drunk and several times tried to

Haggerty, instantly killing, Davidson was surrounded by
others and ordered to surrender, Instead he fired at

been kept to scaffold guarded by Holden guards. 10,000
