for thé murder of a black woman; in July, 1869,
he gunned down a freedman named Kdwards (he had
received a commutation and Presidential pardon
for murder of the black Woman) because he felt
dike killing a black. The crime was committed
at Crawfordsville and the venue changed to Han-
cock County.

for murder of the black Woman) because he felt
dike killing a black. The crime was committed
at Crawfordsville and the venue changed to Han-
