"Boston 12-21-1821-Yesterday about 12 o'clock, Michael Mar-
tin was executed in the rear of the jail at Lechmere's
oint, Cambridge, for highway robbery. A few momembs before
the sentenceof the law was carried into effect, he joined
fervently in prayer with the Rev. Father McQuade, a Roman
Catholic clergyman, and after the cap was pulled over his
face, app ared to be imploring at the thopme of mercy for
