night several weeks ago, entered the house and fired with a
pistol at a woman who was lying there in bed, He missed
her and was about to fire again when the man in the house
knocked him in the head with a brick and shoved him stunned
through the door, Revovering his equillibrium, Rodgers
went off and got a shotgun and returned to kill the negro
who had struck hime Ac rowd had collected and a mix-up
followed. In the course of the row, Rodgers shot and killer
