"L1-1-1889-The execution of Demeiro Fierro for the mrder
of William Nations and Jacob Simpson, just on the Texas
side of the Rio Grande, took place at Marfa, Texas, today
XK at 11:30 a. m It will be remembered that he was one
of three Mexicans who brutally murdered the two Americans
above named a few months since, the other two escaping in-|

The execution was public, and was witnessed by a majority
of the people both from this place (Alpine) and at Marfa,
including many Mexicans to whom it is hoped a lesson has
