Castillano,a&% Manuel Philip Garcia and Peter Lagordette
made up a three man gang of highwaymen and burglars that
operated around Norfolk, Va . Lagordette started courting
Castillano's girl friend and the latter with Garcia lured
Lagordette to a deserted house where, on March 20-1820,
they stabbed him to death. The two killers were tried

and hanged on June 1, 1821,

Castillano, A young man named Cherry, happening to enter

lated remains of a man, The torso was on the floor, the
head, hands and feet badly burned were in the first place,
the arms and legs in a tub, In a few minutes the whole
town was aroused. It was learned that the two Spaniards,
a villainous looking pair, had occupied the house with
