"Otto Grunsig administered to his wife Victorine, who was
lying sick on Aug, 8, 1851, at No. 105 Eldridge Street, a
quantity of arsenic mixed with sugar, The woman died from
the effects of the poison. Grunsig was convicted of mr-
der in the first degree in the Court of Oyer and Terminer ,
Nov. 28, 1851. Judge Edmonds, associated with Aldermen
Jedediah Miller and Jonas T, Conklin, presided during the
trial. Grunsig was executed Feb, 27, 1852,"
