BROWN, Jimmie
Brown, alias Adolph Brown, a 25-year-old Jefferson Cosy Ala., black
man, had served a prison term for attempted rape. Around 9 o'clock
one night in 1938, he met a young whittwoman on the street and,
holding a pistol at her side forced her to accompany him into a
wooded area several blocks away where he pushed her to the ground
and raped her, Afterwards, as they were walking back towards the
