Executed 8-22~18993 Northampton Co., Pa.3 for the murder
of Harvey H. Wurster, night telegraph operator at Bingen
Station, near South Bebhlehem, in a burglarizing operation
on the night of 1-7-1899; was 18 years of ages; lost his
father at 10, ran away soon afterwards; was drunk when
committing the crime; was acquainted with victim; bashed
his head with an iron pipe; was deeply repentant at execu-
tion and begged forgiveness of victim's wife by means of

a letter; see Easton DAILY ARGUS, Aug. 223 Stout fron
Spring Valley; warrant issued June 22; execution and crime
later recalled in Easton CALL-CHRONICLE, July 19, 1959.
