the supreme court, Jolin Cater, a negro of Perry County
(Alabama) will be hanged on February 10th for the murder
of William Whitehead, another negro, at Marion on July h,
1903. The case was originally tried in the circuit court
of Perry County, Cater was convicted and sentenced to
hang, He appeaked to the supreme court and a few months
ago was affirmed, His attorneys made a motion for a new
