Carney, after escaping from a North Carolina prison farm

under the name of Jake Page. On the night of Dec. 6,
1963, he went to a local Lover's lane to rob anyone who
might be parked there. When they resisted, he shot and
killed 22=yernr-old Air Force veteran Harvey Allen and his
girl friend, high school Junior Betty KEXX¥ Clair Cain,
He also raped and decapitated the girl, Carney. died in
the electric chair on May 7, 195),
