executed at the prison at Canyon City at 6215 last evening

for murder of John Snooks at the stock yards! slaughter
house in this city on 7-6-1890, The murder was cold-bloo-
ded and the result of a drunken row, Joyce died without a
tremor, His last act before going to the scaffold was wrie
ting a letter to his sister, asking that his body be taken
to Louisville and buried beside his mother, Execéukion was
