Dewan ls Hutchinson was a native ob Danval le, KY.

He appears to have been a yankee agent
involved in a plot to wage economic warfare against the
Confederacy by flooding it with counterfeit money. He
was apprehended with $25,000 in counterfeit Confederate
banknotes on his person and was condemned by a civilian
Court Martial for seditious intent to disseminate said
monies throughout the local economy.
