was hanged today within the walls of the jail for the
murder of Esau McCan, Aug. 25, 1875. He was convicted
of murder at the October term, 1875, and sentenced to be
hanged. Soon after he broke jail and had been at large
until June last. Since reincarceration he made several
attempts to break jailk succeeding once, and made his way
