"Hugene Austin Morlock 1205 died in San Quentin's gas cham-
ber at 10 a.m, Waa andey for th e rapesmurder of Annie Mo-
rales, 3l, on the Rincon Indian Reservation, Warden Har-
ley 0, Teets said Morlock 'was very calm and resigned to
death, Morlock spent his last hours Listening to phono-
grepn records. He was found guilty by a jury July 29,
1955, in Superior Court Judge John A, Hewicker's court.
Morlock and two companions, who are serving prison sen-
