ted for the mrder of Carl Steidle, a young German, who wa
killed by them in a brutal manner for his money last March,
Hamilton is an alias, Billy's real name is Ed Altman and
Charley's is Malskey, A crowd of 10,000 persons were in
attendance, On the scaffold both deolared themselves inno=
cent and accused each other of the crime, Prayer was
offered by Rev. Herman, after which the mrderers faced
each other, shook hands and forgawe each other, After the
black caps were fixed, each said he was not guilty. At
11:35 the trap fell, Charley's neck was broken, but Billy
was strangled, At 11:5 both were dead, and at 11:55 the
