TANNYHILL, Samuel Woodrow
Tannyhill, a 26-year-old white Army deserter had a record that inclu-
ded imprisonment in both his native Ohio and Missouri on charges of
rape, robbery and forgery. TA Rarly.on the morning of May 2, 1955,
he entered an all night restaurant in “remont, Ohio, and robbed the
29-year-old waitress, “hirley Bradford. To prevent her hotifying. .

intending to release her unharmed later. Mrs. “radford knew Tanny=
hill's sister and recognized him. When she threatened to tell his
